Case Study 1
Callejas & Ross completed a new home
in the winter of 2005. Prior to leaving the house, the heater
was turned on to bring the temperature to 77 degrees. Once
that temperature was reached, the heater was turned off for
the rest of the night. The house was then sealed and locked
at 6:00 p.m. with no one entering or exiting the house. At
9:00 a.m. the next morning, the temperature was 76 degrees.
The average temperature that night was 34 degrees. The indoor
temperature had only dropped one degree in fifteen hours.

Case Study 2
A two story home that was built in the 20s
was inefficient and very difficult to keep cool. The average
attic temperature was 160 degrees in the summer of 2005. After
applying the Icynene Insulation under the roof deck in the
attic, the average temperature in the attic dropped 60 degrees
in that same summer. That attic now averages at 98 degrees.
